Digests 20 and 21, issued in 1950, dealt with the weathering, preservation and maintenance and stone masonry. The first part of this Digest brings up to date what was then said on stone preservatives. No stone preservative used as a surface treatment has yet met with any significant measure of success, but the results of recent tests are reported.
The second part of this Digest describes how plasterboard can be jointed inconspicuously to form a dry lining requiring only a decorative finish.
Revised version of Digest 128, originally published in November 1959.
