In response to increasing sustainability demands, a growing number of companies are integrating ESG considerations at a strategic level into their core decision-making. The BREEAM standard serves as a key tool for quantifying and managing ESG performance, as the world-leading sustainability assessment method for planning projects, infrastructure and buildings. Since the tool’s launch in 1990, there are now nearly three million BREEAM-registered buildings across 104 countries, with more than one million having received certification.
This year’s awards specifically highlighted corporate ESG leadership, inviting industry pioneers to share how BREEAM-certified projects have combined environmental benefits, social responsibility, and effective governance - demonstrating the strategic value of green building in enabling sustainable transformation.
