Microgeneration Certification Scheme

Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) Page Description

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is used to assess the quality, performance and safety of small scale energy products.

MCS microgeneration certification scheme Details

MCS is an independent UKAS-accredited quality assurance scheme for microgeneration products such as solar panels, heat pumps and wind turbines. It’s used to assess the quality, performance and safety of small-scale energy products.

Certifying against the MCS

All microgeneration products must be certified against the MCS in order to be eligible for UK government financial incentives. This includes Feed-in Tariffs and the Renewable Heat Incentive.

BRE Global offers the widest range of UKAS-accredited certification services against this scheme. We carry out certification assessments for solar PV, heat pumps, biomass, micro-CHP, solar thermal, wind turbines and pitched roof mounting systems.

All MCS approved products  certificated by BRE Global are listed on GreenBookLive .
