Part III. Walking on stairs
This paper, which describes the forces applied to the floor by the foot in ascending and descending slopes and stairs, continues National Building Studies Research Paper 32, of which Part I dealt with walking on a level surface.
It provides basic data about the risks of slipping accidents on slopes and stairs and the factors in design that can influence the risk.
