The details of procedure for strength in designed brickwork are set out in BS Code of Practice CP 111 and the purpose of this Digest is to give some of the data underlying its provisions so as to assist designers in the application of its rules. Comments are also made on points of detail that apply to brickwork built to these rules and to those set out in the Third Schedule of the Model Byelaws.
