This Digest and the previous one (124) review the design and construction of drains and sewers in the light of recent studies. Part 1 (Digest no. 124) was concerned with their structural design.
This Digest (Part 2) deals with watertightness, flexible joints, site work and testing. The advice given in these Digests supersedes any corresponding advice given in Digest no. 55 (1953), more particularly as regards the use of site concrete and methods of jointing.
