This paper examines the effects of different types of occupancy on the moisture levels within the external walls of timber-framed houses. The effect of damage to vapour checks which can lead to moisture accumulating within the walls is considered and the possibility of removing this moisture to the outside by ventilating the wall or by using more permeable outer wall layers is examined. 4 pages.
