Internet Protocol is the language that computers use to communicate with each other over networks. With the convergence of IT and building management networks, IP is likely to emerge as the predominant communications standard for such networks. This Information Paper provides an introduction to IP and its application to building services such as CCTV/security, VoIP, HVAC, lighting and entertainment systems.
