This leaflet describes the general structural details of Incast house construction. The system consists of solid external walls cast-in-situ with no-fines concrete. The external walls are cast between temporary shutters supported by precast reinforced concrete columns which remain part of the completed wall. The floors and roof are of traditional timber construction. This leaflet is a compilation of extracts from several sources. It does not encompass all variations and some construction details may vary from those given.
