Site drainage and principles of damp-proofing solid floors are discussed briefly and tables show the effects of ground moisture on floor finishes and the protection afforded by various damp-proof membranes. Mentions drying-out times for concrete screeds laid over membranes.
This 1970 reprint of the 1965 edition omits original phrase, in paragraph on site drainage (page 1), that it is a byelaw requirement that the damp-proof course is at least 6 in. above the surrounding ground.
A later edition of this digest was published in 1971.
