Digest no. 110 described the various corrosion hazards that may exist in buildings, with more detailed notes on the corrosion and protection of lead and copper. This Digest deals with zinc and aluminium and with the use of non-ferrous metals in water systems. A table lists some causes of corrosion in water systems in buildings.
There is a brief reference to the types of corrosion found in both the "temporary" and the "permanent" aluminium bungalows built in the 1940s, with recommendations for the types of aluminium alloy that should be used for structural purposes.
