This Digest draws upon recent work at the Building Research Station to discuss the troublesome aspects of condensation in factory roofs in conditions of high humidity and to suggest how risks can be lessened or avoided in different kinds of roof in construction. it is stressed that improving insulation does not necessarily reduce condensation risks; much depends on how or where the improvement is applied.
