This document describes the technical basis of BREDEM-8, the current monthly version of the BRE Domestic Energy Model. This model estimates energy consumption in dwellings, including estimates for space heating, water heating, cooking, and lights and appliances. The principles behind the model are discussed and the equations are listed. Sufficient information to implement the model is given. 109 pages.
