Results from visits to and surveys of motor manufacturers and their sub-contractors in England to examine the use of various species of timber in the manufacture of cars, lorries and other goods vehicles, caravans, and public service vehicles (e.g. ambulances, fire engines and buses). Those hardwoods and softwoods commonly used in this industry are listed.
