Note: This press release is over six months old and the details may have been superseded. Please contact the Press Office for the latest information.

RIBA award winning architects HLM join a growing number of progressive companies who have been awarded BRE Global’s BIM Level 2 Business Systems Certification scheme ahead of the government’s April 2016 deadline for public sector project compliance.

BRE Global’s BIM Level 2 Business Systems Certification scheme assesses a business in relation to its BIM capability and policy as outlined in the PAS 1192-2:2013 and PAS 91 standards. It also considers the ability of the business to meet the requirements of an employer to implement BIM on a project.

The certification provides HLM with industry-recognised BIM credentials and enables it to compete for public sector construction projects in line with the Government 2016 mandate. It also provides assurance to clients that HLM continues to focus on delivering best value for clients through processes that reduce costs, improve efficiencies and deliver the highest quality results.

Nick Beecroft, HLM director, said: “BIM is essential for the future development of the built environment. Achieving BIM certification allows us to extend our engagement with the public sector and be fully-aligned to work in partnership with both existing and new clients.

Guy Hammersley BRE Group Director for BIM said ‘Congratulations to HLM – we need more companies to be inspired by the early adopters and get to grips with BIM business certification as it will ultimately lead them to be more competitive in the public sector market.’

NOTE TO EDITOR

BRE Global BIM Level 2 Business Systems Certification

BRE Global’s BIM Level 2 Business Systems Certification scheme assesses a business, based at a single location relating to the BIM policy and capability as defined within PAS 1192-2:2013 and PAS 91 as well as assessing the ability of the business to meet the requirements of an employer to carry out a BIM capability assessment. The scheme has been designed to enable certificated businesses to demonstrate compliance with the PAS91-2013 section 4.2 so that as a BIM Certificated company you will not have to provide evidence of competence each time you undertake a tender.
