CIBSE’s best training programme award goes to BRE Academy

BRE’s training arm the BRE Academy, were awarded the CIBSE Building Performance Training Programme of the year award for their BREEAM Associate course at the CIBSE Award ceremony in London last night. 

Judged by a panel of distinguished industry leaders, the awards recognise the people, products and projects that demonstrate engineering excellence in the built environment.

Developed in partnership with HOK, Ferrovial, BT, BAM, SEGRO, Grontmij, Arcadis, Assa Abloy, WSP/Parsons Brinkerhof and ISG, the course is designed to enhance the way the international sustainability standard BREEAM is applied to developments around the world.

Director of the BRE Academy Pauline Traetto said ‘We are delighted with this award which not only recognises BRE but our 10 partners who helped us develop and deliver it. The course has been carefully designed using industry feedback as the perfect introduction to enable individuals to pitch BREEAM in bids and to deliver it effectively in.’

BREEAM Associate course enables proactive planning, ensuring knowledge of the right time to appoint assessors and most importantly providing awareness of opportunities for high performance at low cost against a range of parameters incl: health and wellbeing, energy efficiency, waste, water, pollution, materials, ecology, transport.
