BRE partners with Digital Construction Week

BRE is championing the event as Digital Knowledge Partner and fielding three expert speakers.

With an ever-greater need for the sector to embrace digital, harness its power and reap the benefits, BRE as Knowledge Partner joins other leading partner and sponsor organisations who are putting their weight behind Digital Construction Week – including High Speed 2 (HS2) ltd, Kier, BAM, Innovate UK, Bentley and the Cabinet Office.

Now in its second year, the two day London-based conference and exhibition will be showcasing, sharing and exploring the latest digital technologies, innovations, solutions and processes, and what digital means for the construction industry.

Digital Construction Week is timely for BRE, as it will be announcing a new integrated web platform at the event. Developed to meets the needs of the construction industry, the new site furthers the organisation’s journey into digital whilst helping companies in the sector improve performance.

Three of BRE’s specialists will be speaking at the event, addressing some of the key high-value tools, systems and solutions across digital technology and innovation.

  • Skills gap – the role of innovation and technology: Pauline Traetto, Director of BRE Academy
  • Innovation and technology for sustainability: Stuart Blofeld, Lead Trainer of BRE Digital Tools
  • Small business, BIG innovation: Paul Oakley, Associate Director of BIM at BRE

‘We are aiming for digital transformation in the construction sector,’ said BRE Group Chairman Chris Earnshaw. ‘Although progress is being made through initiatives such as BIM Level 2, it’s imperative that we accelerate our activities. BRE in particular is committed to helping the built environment sector benefit from the use of digital technologies and rich data enabled products and services. Events such as Digital Construction Week play a vital role in this respect, helping us to drive awareness and share knowledge and best practice around the latest technologies and cutting edge innovation.’

Digital Construction Week runs from the 26ᵗʰ – 27ᵗʰ October 2016 at the Business Design Centre in London.  BRE specialists will be speaking on:
