PaperStone® countertops are comprised of 100% post-consumer recycled paper. They are certified by both FSC® and the Rainforest Alliance®
How does it work?
PaperStone® is made from FSC® certified Recycled and FSC® certified Mix post-consumer recycled paper that has been saturated with proprietary phenolic resins and selected natural pigments. Once trimmed to the desired length, sheets are stacked and moved into a press where they are fused together under heat and pressure. Paper sheet count determines the thickness of the finished panels.
PaperStone®’s non-porous surface is stain and water resistant. Surface cuts or marks may be sanded or rubbed out with an abrasive pad and treated with PaperStone® Finish. It is rigid and dense, and can be used for other applications such as furniture, and vertical panels and partitions. It is also heat resistant to 350°F and is NSF certified ‘food safe’.
