Used in the Victorian Terrace, Isover Room-in-the Roof solution consist of Isover Timber Frame Insulation fitted between the rafters, Isover’s Vario Membrane system installed to the inside of the frame and either Gyproc Wallboard or Gyproc ThermaLine installed on the inside of the membrane.
How does it work?
The Timber Frame insulation is a high-density glass mineral wool slab that fits between 600mm timber studs. The Vario Membrane System blocks moisture from diffusing into the structure from inside the building during the cold winter months, while enabling any trapped moisture to diffuse back into the building interior in the summer. This allows damp building elements in the construction to dry out during the summer months and remain dry and avoid subsequent moisture-related damage to the roof structure.
