The innovation race is on: Ecobuild 2016 featuring some of the most ingenious industry products

The impacts of 2020 climate targets are rippling through business, finance, and investment communities as well as advancing proactive governmental policies. Achieving business success in a low-carbon economy needs a dramatic shift from the traditional approaches. Echoing the change in the air is Ecobuild’s 2016 focus on innovation.

With its Big Innovation Pitch final and UKTI’s Great British Innovators Pavilion, the event aims to thrive in forward-thinking companies from across the entire built environment supply chain. An opportunity not to be missed!

In its second year, Ecobuild’s Big Innovation Pitch organised in association with M&S is looking for the best ideas that could revolutionise the way buildings work. The competition aims to provide a platform for business growth, helping bridge the gap to market quicker while supporting the creation of successful innovation.

Now in its final stage, five finalists are going head to head in a special conference session hosted by Rachel Riley from the Gadget Show and Countdown on the final day of Ecobuild.

One of the main speakers at the session, Julie Bregulla, Director of the Building Technology Group at BRE, will be looking at the technical feasibility of the proposed innovations.

Julie leads BRE’s structural integrity framework with the UK government and coordinates BRE’s specialist consultancy for the development of UK building regulations concerning structural robustness and safety.
