New Asset Risk and Resilience training course

Risk is inherent in everything we do and uncertainties need to be managed. Organisations are becoming increasingly aware of the fundamental need to manage risk as a major part of their management and future business strategies. An enterprise-wide approach to risk management allows organisations to consider the potential impact of all types of risks upon processes, activities, stakeholders, products, services, to achieve business objectives and seize new opportunities.

Specially designed for senior levels wishing to learn more about enterprise risk management and wanting to improve risk culture through maximising opportunities and minimising threats, this new course is the result of the collaboration between BRE Academy and K Risk, a small enterprise based in Scotland, which specialises in operational management, quality and risk performance consultancy and training.

The course aims to provide delegates with the fundamental principles of risk management using an integrated approach. It will provide the relevant knowledge and skills required for delegates and their businesses to manage risk systematically to improve performance within all areas of their organisation to maximise all opportunities and minimise all threats.

Incorporating real case studies and interactive multimedia, this course will bring the subject to life and cater for all learning styles to enable learners to make more informed transparent decisions that become embedded in the daily operational rhythm of your organisation.

ISO 55001 for asset management is one of the new breed of management system standards based on Annex SL; the common high level structure and text for management system standards, this allows organisations to work easily with other standards already produced in this area and is designed to be compatible with common management system standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO22301. It continues to be based on the Plan, Do, Check, Act principles and this is taught in a practical and simple way through the course.

The first classroom course at BRE Watford will be on 26 – 27 October, however this course can be tailored to the specific needs of an organisation and delivered in-house. For more information and bookings, please contact Virginia Cinquemani, BRE Academy on [email protected].
